The Dimensions of character within second-hand shopping

Stella - SPIT

Stella is an avid second-hand shopper, although she shops at SPIT once every few months. She said she likes shopping there because it is cheap and since she is in school part-time and working part-time, it is a big reason why she shops there. But after talking to her for a little bit long, she also admitted that she likes the character of the things and for her character is very important. When asked if she considered herself a second-hand shopper, at first she replied, “no, not really, then changed her mind laughing “… yeah, a bit, I-m a 2nd hand shopper.” I asked her how it made her feel and she stated : “No problem with it because the stuff you find is very cute so and it-s a bit of a surprise finding something you really like. It-s really fun so it-s like a hobby also, so no problem with being a 2nd hand shopper. She also told me that in her opinion, the difference in shopping 2nd hand is that “you need to take some time to find 2nd hand stuff, so if I find something 2nd hand then I-m doubly as glad with it because I took some time for it, that-s the difference.” Since this was the second visit to SPIT that day, I think overall Stella is a pretty enthusiastic second-hand shopper!
