- - Kimberly Trathen is an armchair anthropologist working to someday become a real one. She is currently seeking political asylum in Belgium and while upon waiting for it has settled for taking up a graduate course in Culture and Development Studies. She is trying to learn both French and Dutch but remains somewhere in the middle of the two and her work spans anywhere from organic farming to teaching English as a second language. One day she hopes to become an herbalist, move to the woods and become self-sustainable but for now is happy studying anthropology and traveling around Europe.

Meet the Shoppers

It-s helpful to present a profile of the people I interviewed in both Eco-Shop and SPIT to get a better understanding of why they shop 2nd hand. The length of the profiles will vary as they are dependent on the length of the interviews. To ensure privacy, fake names have been used.
